HC508 prerelease version

Good news! HC508 came into the phase when live testing is possible. I have built few cards and shipped them to testers.

A nice boot menu has also been added.

  4. Hello,

I have already tested the CFRAM500 card in A1000 and worked with bugs (RAM accessing issue...). A complete debugging is required to make it 100% compatible with an A1000.

  5. Nice work!
I've been following your work for quite some time, really nice work!
    The new bootmenu looks great.

If you need help with testing these cards I can help.
I've several A500 motherboard revisions (3,5,6,8) / roms / addons to test it on.
There is no contact info visible for me.

  8. Hello. The card usable with 2 MB chipRAM (A500+)? 2 MB chipRAM + 8 MB fastRAM OK?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Absolutely. A500+ with 8375 Agnus is 100% compatible with HC508. Do not use Gary adapter boards.

  10. The Gary adapter boards (2 MB slow RAM hack) work with 0,5 MB chipRAM, and 0,5, or 1 MB Agnus only. http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/bboah/product.aspx?id=1067
0,5 MB chipRAM + 2 MB slow RAM possible only. 2 MB slow RAM with 1, or 2 MB chipRAM, or 2 MB Agnus (0,5, or 1 MB chipRAM) not work.

  11. Looks great, or better said, looks what ACA500 should have been :), instead just platform to connect bigger ACA cards...

Does it hang from expansion slot? Maybe holes for stubs, at least on opposite side from connector, to support it wouldn't be bad idea?

  12. The slot connector holds the PCB stable, no need to worry. ;)
